The People

The people really make the experience special. The students are friendly and welcoming even though we do not share the same language.

Faith-Centered Community

The call to prayer from the Abu Bakar As-Segar Mosque happens five times a day, and many students and staff take time to pray together. It creates a peaceful and respectful atmosphere across campus. These daily moments help everyone feel connected—not just as students, but as a community with shared values and purpose.

The Trees

Towering palms, rain trees, and banyans line the walkways and frame the buildings, offering not just shade from the tropical sun, but a deep sense of calm and connection to nature.

Blend of Javanese and European Architectural Designs

UNISSULA’s campus architecture artfully blends traditional Javanese forms—such as multi-tiered “joglo” and “limasan” roof structures, open-air pendopo pavilions, and an emphasis on harmony with its tropical setting with hallmarks of European colonial design, including symmetrical axial layouts, neoclassical columns framin

g deep verandahs, large sash windows, and formal garden terraces.

Top-Tier Academic Facilities

I witnessed an A-rated library, and they have like huge convention center that could accommodate a lot of visitors, students, teachers, and other school stakeholders. They also buildings with multiple floors that require us to use elevators sometimes. I believe that the facilities are of equal ratio to their students.
